The Glasswrights' Journeyman (Book 3 of 5)

By Mindy L. Klasky

A land in ruin...

Rani Trader's beloved homeland of Morenia has been destroyed by fire. The only hope for rebuilding is for King Halaravilli to marry a wealthy princess from distant Liantine. Rani must set aside her own feelings to journey with the king, to negotiate for his bride.

In Liantine, Rani soon discovers a tangle of powerful entities: the wealthy Spiderguild with its monopoly on trade in silk and the brutal royal family, who have turned away from worship of the Thousand Gods. Even more intriguing, Rani finds the Players, traveling entertainers who have hoarded glassmaking secrets, guild-based knowledge that Rani craves.

Knowledge, though, always has a price. Can Rani strike a bargain that will save her homeland, her king, and her own heart?

The Glasswrights' Journeyman (Volume Three in the Glasswrights Series)

♥ Mini Review ♥
Rani, Rai, Ranita, no matter what you call her this girl seems to be destined to have every moral, every virtue, every loyalty tested over and over again relentlessly. The pattern of loyalty verses betrayal continues as Rani is faced with some tough choices, and every answer she comes up with hurts somebody she loves. Nobody can ever say that once Rani puts her mind to something, nothing will get in her way, but its not only her greatest strength, its her biggest flaw.

Fantasy Series Book Review by Mulluane

She isn't the only one beset by problems. Morenia is ravaged with fire, virtually destroyed and those who survived are dying to disease. King Hal must make some important decisions of his own or his kingdom faces ruin.

There is yet another country brought into play here as Hal is forced to seek a bride from Liantine, and in the process discovers what happened to to the former Little Army. Once again the worldbuilding takes center stage as Klasky shows us another culture with its own unique systems and values.

There is so much going on in this volume I can't begin to touch on but a little of it in this review, you will just have to read it for yourself. Enjoy!
